A New Settlement? Now?

The Cabinet today (Sunday, 18 November 2012), approved planning for the construction of a new Druze community in the Khirbet Inbal area of the western Galilee. This is in the framework of the Government's efforts to find solutions to the housing situation in the Druze community which stems – in part – from the inability to existing communities.

Prime Minister Netanyahu said, "This decision shows our attitude to all Israelis in general and to the Druze public in particular. We must look at how we treat minorities in comparison to how minorities are treated in the countries around us."

This decision joins a previous decision in the framework of which, NIS 680 million was allocated to the development of communities in the Druze sector.
